To start, proof the yeast by mixing two cups of warm water with sugar and letting it sit for about five minutes until foamy. Once ready, pour the yeast mixture into a pan, add salt and canola oil, and stir. Gradually mix in flour, about a cup at a time, until fully incorporated. Knead the dough for around five minutes on a clean surface to ensure all flour is mixed in properly. Kneading the dough is crucial for texture.
After kneading, grease a bowl with oil to prevent sticking and place the dough inside. Cover it and let it rise for about an hour until it doubles in size. Once risen, cut the dough in half to shape into loaves. Roll and pinch the edges to maintain shape before placing them in loaf pans.
Let the shaped loaves rest for another 15 minutes before baking. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and bake for 30 minutes. After baking, brush with butter to keep the bread soft. The final product is fluffy and delicious, perfect for tasting with family. Taste test reveals the bread is amazing!
One viewer commented humorously about enjoying their slice with plenty of butter, reflecting a positive sentiment towards the bread-making process.
